Chapter 36- No No Don't Break My Heart
Sabrina's POV
"Evan? No way!" Josey says in disbelief. Her head shaking no as she tries to read him.
"You want to tell them or should I?" I ask Evan, looking back at me confused.
"Evan, before you deny anything, I need you to think hard before lying to me. I am the moon goddess after all and I've seen things, so tell the truth and I'll spare your life." I say, my hand grabbing Evan's neck from behind, my claws sinking in to his flesh.
"Look, look okay, before I explain, I need you to know that I was doing it for the good of the realm. I was given the poison, told to cleanse the system starting from the top." Evan starting to panic, confesses.
Running his hand through his hair, Evan looks at every one of us.
"We were raised differently here. No earthling is allowed in this realm, no half breeds either. Ask Kimberly, she suffered for being a half breed because she was part earthling. Now this family has tainted their blood with vampirism too, dead fucken bodies." Evan says, Josey growling but keeping her distance.
"Go on.." I tell him and he nods his head.
"There is a resistance. That's what I call it.... it is getting bigger by the day, especially after the killing of the only pure blood wolf family that led us." Evan says.
"You can't be serious!" Anthony shouts.
"They helped in the running of this place and it was well governed. Now, we have a moon goddess focused solely on herself and her family, where I have to fetch her every goddess damn second to come to work. I have to nurse her feelings and play bestie. There's the sister who almost unleashed the vampire we all want to keep dead, just because she couldn't fit in- well, you were never going to and then the lost brother, who won't come clean to his parents." Evan says, earning a growl from most of us.
"Come clean about having the same sex mate?" My mother asks Evan, who nods his head yes at her.
"Son, the only girl born on that day is Sabrina. We know this, we have known this and we honestly don't care which sex he is mated to." Hunter says, shocking Evan the most.
Firstly, I had no idea of this. I mean, I know my brother is in to both guys and girls, like there's no confusion but I had no idea they knew his mate would be a guy.
Did he know this?
"This is what I mean! You have all just, you can't allow that! A Male and a female, what part of natural order don't you understand?! You are tainting our blood, enforcing same sex now it appears and abusing power by killing the only family that led us with dignity and compassion." Evan says, hands balled in to fists.
"Who started this resistance?" I ask him, Evan smiling at me.
"Who do you think? I may believe that this family does not deserve to rule but to actually concoct a plan so evil.... look, I don't hate this family. I just believe the time for running things is over for you guys. Our own moon goddess was raised in a beta family for crying out loud! Anthony was raised in hiding and all lonely. There, I can agree with the resistance, you are all not fit to run this realm and if killing you all is the way to do it then so be it." He says.
"How do you plan on doing that? I can't be killed. Can Hunter? Anthony?" I ask Evan, who just shrugs.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
"You know, I never questioned the resistance. I just figured the rest will die, forcing you to give up your place as the rulers of this realm." Evan says casually.
"You think by killing my mate, I'd just sit idly by and let you take my birthright from me?" Hunter asks Evan.
"You will follow her soon after. We all know what losing a mate can do to the other: Soon, all that will be left is Sabrina. Motherless, fatherless, brotherless, vampire less, childless!" He says excitedly as he claps his hands.
Out of anger, I place my hand on top of Evan's head. Taking back what was gifted to him but in reverse. Allowing him the gift to live out the rest of his life as the kind they so despise, humans.
He falls to the ground, eyes bulged out in shock of his new revelation. A new reality that awaits him, the warning that will soon reach the one that started the resistance.

"I need him. I need my wolf." He says, scratching himself to try bring him out.
Stretching out his limbs but nothing. No bones breaking, no tail growing. He was on all fours and looking crazy, eyes still bulged out as it registers in his head who he is now.
"What did you do?" He asks me, a sad little voice asks me. No longer the confident servant that followed every order and knew of my coming in and going out.
He won't be able to monitor me or follow me around. He is too human to do his job and the job the resistance had for him.
"I did what any mother would do. Remove the threat." I say, brushing his hair out of his eyes. I help him up, body feeling even weaker.
"Run along now. Go and tell the
leader of this resistance what just
happened here. Tell him or her about your new life in this realm without a wolf, with no strength or power. You have been stripped of everything you have ever known and that is the fate of them all." Hunter says to a now crying Evan.
Evan walks to the door, stopping right by it to turn and face us once more.
"This might take them a few steps back, sure they would need to regroup and plan differently but they will be back. He said it is his life's mission to end you all." Evan warns us, Anthony chuckling.
"We will handle him.. just like we handled you." Anthony tells a sad Evan.
"Unlike me, Aiden has gift I could never receive.... immortality." Evan says before walking out the door.
Leaving us with a self detonating bomb that just went off with my heart.☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
