Chapter 33: Cara is discharged from the hospital
A month has passed since the incident between Alden and Emma. Things are slowly returning to normal. For others it is. What about Alden? Alden is still not positive. He basically hasn’t escaped from the past. I’ve been inundated with negative thoughts all day. Alden has distanced himself from the world by staying in Helen’s mansion. No one dared to disturb him. The family wanted to give Alden time, so they left him alone, without forcing or forcing Alden to do this or that. Alden’s current act of hiding had caused a lot of trouble for Emma. For the past month, Emma has been trying to find a way to get close to Alden. The goal is to rekindle the old love, begging Alden for forgiveness. Pity the close protection of Helen’s family. And the fact that Alden did not appear outside the house, caused Emma’s plan to fail miserably.
Talk about someone else, specifically Cara. After a month of treatment in the hospital. Today is the day Cara is discharged from the hospital. Cara is slowly recovering from her recent surgery. Her leg was nailed off but remained in a wheelchair for a few days until the incision was made again. With the news that Cara was coming home, right in the early morning, Alden’s mother happily prepared to go to the hospital to pick up Cara. Before leaving, she asked Alden to come with her, but he firmly refused. But with the persuasive talent of a judge, Alden finally agreed to go with his mother.
Accompanied by mother and daughter Alden, there is also Gavin. While the mother was very excited, chatting animatedly with the eldest son. As for Alden, he made a sullen face, seemingly uninterested.
Cara was surprised when the door opened, and three beautiful members of the Helen family appeared. Cara couldn’t imagine what would happen when she lived with them. Especially Alden – who always scowled when he met Cara.
Cara secretly thanked God for her recovery. Also, pray to leave Helen’s house as soon as possible. Mrs. Agatha bought Cara a white dress, which looks great on Cara’s well-proportioned figure. To please Agatha, Cara reluctantly wore it. Because there was some inconvenience in her legs, Mrs. Agatha also helped Cara to change into hospital clothes, with the dress that Mrs. Agatha had chosen.
“The dress suits you so well. You look so cute.” Mrs. Agatha had the compliment, owed the affectionate smile of a mother.
Then she turned and asked her two sons:
“How do you feel, Gavin, Alden? Our Cara is very pretty, isn’t she?”
“Yes. Cara is very pretty.” Gavin quickly replied. Not lying to please mom. In fact, he also finds Cara very beautiful. Meanwhile, Alden made a nonchalant face and hummed in reply.
“Yes, mom is right.”
It’s because he can’t see anything, how can he know Cara’s gentle, but passionate beauty?
“Thank.” Cara blushed shyly. Even though I don’t know if the compliment is sincere or if it makes her happy. It didn’t matter to Cara.
Then to distract everyone’s attention, she quickly combed her hair. Agatha saw this and helped Cara pack her suitcase. Alden stood as still as a statue. And Gavin went out to find Keva – his girlfriend.
After a while, Gavin returned to Keva – who was pushing the wheelchair.
Cara looked at the car, a little worried. Does she wonder if she will be able to cope with life in a wheelchair, for the time being? The doctor said it would only take two weeks, but for Cara, it would take a long time.
“The procedure for Cara’s discharge is complete.” Keva said: “Have you finished packing yet?”
“There’s nothing left to pack.” Mrs. Agatha answered on behalf of everyone.
“Okay then. Cara can leave.” Keva said, then suddenly remembered an important unfinished business, so she added: “But before I go, let me show Cara how to use a wheelchair.”
“Are you ready, Cara?” Keva looked at her, smiled, and asked. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
Cara nodded.
Agatha and Keva enthusiastically helped Cara sit down in her new vehicle. Keva then took some time to teach Cara how to operate the wheelchair. With her ability to learn quickly, and her inherent intelligence, Cara learned everything very quickly and began to use a wheelchair.
Thought Cara would struggle with a wheelchair. Agatha offered to help Cara push the cart, but she politely declined. Cara is used to being independent, she doesn’t want to depend on anyone. Finally, before Cara’s determination, Agatha had to comply with Cara’s will. She quietly stood beside Cara watching. Cara’s efforts and efforts really made Mrs. Agatha very satisfied.
Alden decided not to participate in the ongoing activities. He found his way out of the room. Alden had just stepped outside and was struggling to lock the door when a voice spoke.
Following the startle, Alden’s reaction stopped the action.
“Alden.” A familiar voice rang out.
“Dante,” Alden called his friend’s name.
“What are you doing here?” Dante began to ask, a little surprised to see Alden emerge from Cara’s room.
“We went to pick up Cara, she was discharged from the hospital.”
Unfortunately, Alden said, he couldn’t see Dante holding a bouquet of roses and his appearance was very well-groomed.
“What about you, Dante, what are you doing here?” Alden asked when he realized his friend was rather quiet.
“I’m visiting Cara.” Dante said: “Do you want to go back to the room?”
“No.” Alden refused: “I’ll have a coffee.”
“YES.” Dante nodded in understanding. Then open the door and enter the room.
…
Today, Emma is also at the hospital, where Cara is convalescing. She has an appointment with Lily to talk. The main purpose is still Emma coming to ask for Lily’s debt.
Currently, the two are arguing fiercely outside the hospital. Because Lily hasn’t earned the money to pay Emma yet. Lily has not received her salary this month, so there is no money to give to Emma.
“Please Emma, please give me a little more time. I’m managing to pay you.”
“How many times have you broken your promise to me?” Emma asked coldly.
“I promise this is the last time. After receiving this month’s salary, I immediately give it to you.” Lily took Emma’s hand and implored in a low voice.
“Your promise has no value to me anymore.” Emma sternly insisted: “Now pay me, or I’ll make you lose your job at the hospital.”
“Please don’t do that to me,” Lily said as if she was about to cry. The girl was about to get down on her knees to beg Emma, when suddenly Lily discovered something, very beneficial for Lily herself at the moment.
While rolling his eyes to some unknown place. Lily accidentally saw Alden, he was standing at the entrance, separating the corridor and the hospital’s flower garden. Quickly, Lily told Emma, hoping Emma would leave because of that.
“Emma, isn’t that Alden?”
“Don’t drag Alden out to distract my attention.” Emma gritted her teeth and scolded.
“I’m telling the truth. He’s standing at the entrance.” Lily affirmed, pointing at Alden.
Hearing that, Emma immediately turned her head to look in the direction Lily pointed. Sure enough, it was Alden. Without delay, Emma instinctively incited her feet to move towards Alden. She even rushed to the point of running, to meet Alden soon.
Lily watched Emma’s figure fade away and breathed a sigh of relief. This debt seems to be deferred a little longer.
