Camp Closeted

Chapter 19: Bunk Mates

Chapter 19: Bunk Mates

Being bunk mates with Jesse was now incredibly awkward for me. Jesse was effortless in ignoring me

and I couldn't say the same for myself.

I found myself always having to look at him for some reason and he knows I probably do. I just couldn't

help but feel extremely bad for the way I have treated him so far.

These past few days in the camp have been a little too crazy and it's been completely different than

what I'm usually used to.

I'm surprised it's been way easier to talk to people here than talk to the people in high school, but at the

same time, I'm really not.

I rapidly tensed up as Jesse's immaculately shirtless self dropped down from his bed, making me hide

my face deeper under my blanket as he didn't bother looking back at me.

It was the next day and the bonfire was meant to be tomorrow. I didn't quite know how to feel about

going with Logan but I do like him, as a friend.

As I shuffled around my bed, I couldn't help but feel something sharply scrape against my back.

It was a note.

I felt myself let out an unnerved exhale as I quickly grabbed it and read it.

"You will be one hell of a person to try and ruin. I'll see to it that I make sure that happens." -Lover Boy

What in the cringey Pretty Little Liars shit is this?

I looked around, not catching anyone stare at me suspiciously as I read the note.

Who the hell could this be? I reread the note over and over again as I felt a wave of unsettling emotions

come over me.

This has to be a joke. It's probably just a prank.

All of a sudden, my eyes widened as the loud noise of what sounded like a horn emitted itself from

outside.

The noise was so incredibly loud that I watched it catch everyone's attention from inside the cabin. I

watched Benny begin to tiptoe towards me as the sun shoved itself from the window. "Micah, get up,

you need to see this bullshit. It happens every year." His voice fell into a loud cackle as he gestured me

to follow him.

I didn't bother throwing on a shirt as I followed him outside. "Wait see what?" I whispered sharply.

"What was that noise?"

"You're about to find out." Benny tried to contain his ongoing laughter as we finally walked out the

cabin.

And there he was, Posh, standing on a tall pedestal, his outfit luxuriously extra as ever. His sunglasses

shimmered as 1 hand carried a mic and the other carried a piece of paper. Milan and Cadence stood

beside him dressed in all black as Posh was the only one who was on a pedestal.

"Gather around everyone!" Posh commanded, his high pitched voice echoing into the microphone.

"This is a very special day and I think it's important that everyone witnesses the greatness that's about

to happen to me."

"Benny what is going on?" I asked quietly, using my hand to block the bright scorching sun away from

my face as I followed Benny into the large group of people that surrounded Posh.

"Just listen, you're gonna die." Benny hushed, pulling me next to him as I got a clear view of Posh.

"This is gonna show you how depressing Posh really is."

Posh's bright fluffy red fur coat engulfed his small body whole as he coughed, pulling his red

sunglasses closer to his face. "As you all may know, the bonfire is tomorrow night." He turned towards

Milan as he squeaked in excitement, Milan returning it with a squeak himself. "So I would like to take

the time out of everyone's unimportant day, to give Dallas the chance to do his proposal that's he's

been working on about asking me out to this year's bonfire!"

How absolutely pathetic. This can't be real.

All eyes immediately turned towards Dallas, including mine, everyone remaining dead silent as Dallas

looked completely and utterly confused, making Posh speak again.

"You have been thinking about asking me out to the bonfire, right Dallas?" Posh's pompous voice

slightly increased in volume as he said his name.

Dallas took a long time to respond as he looked around at everyone confused and humiliated. "Y-yea,

sure, of course." His voice let out softly.

"Okay cute." Posh faked giggled as he looked down at his nails. "Now do it."

Benny almost exploded in laughter once again as he quickly held it back in with his hand. I finally

whispered to him in disbelief. "This is insane.."

Dallas's hazel eyes shifted around the crowd as his face was incredibly reddened from embarrassment.

"W-would you, Posh Montgome-" Posh quickly interrupted him with a raised finger.

"Milan do you hear that?" He turned towards Milan as he responded by shaking his head no. "Yea well

Dallas, none of us can hear anything your saying. I mean all of us here already know your supes dumb

but at least try not to act like you're not illiterate also."

My mouth dropped as my heart broke for Dallas. This was complete public humiliation and its so

unnecessary. "I don't wanna watch this, it's too ridiculous." I turned towards Benny but he just remained

quiet.

Dallas's deep voice slightly raised as he stared at the floor, people snickering to themselves around the

circle. "Would you, Posh Montgomery, please come to the bonfire with me tomorrow?" He was audibly

resistant as if he didn't even want to do this in the first place.

Posh clicked his mouth as he sighed to himself. "Hmm give me a sec to think." He quickly turned

towards Milan. "Milan start filming when I stomp my feet." He spoke away from the mic but was still

very audible.

Milan quickly pulled out his phone as Posh stomped his feet, a beep indicating that he was finally

filming. Posh immediately became another person in the camera, his voice a lot more dramatic this

time. "Oh, I don't know what to say!" He sniffed. "I'm too overwhelmed to even to speak right now."

Posh fake cried into his dark red tinted sunglasses as people quietly whispered to themselves. "Dallas

this was so unexpected, you know I hate attention! But I really am happy to hear that I'm helping your

supes miserable life become slightly better because I exist. So yes, I will go to the bonfire with you

tomorrow, as community service." He coughed, signaling Milan to cut filming, his voice going back to

normal.

Dallas blinked a few times in subtle anguish as he remained silent, biting his lips as tears started to fall

down his eyes.

Posh continued to speak to Milan as the circle began to diminish. "Post that on instagram and snapchat

with a black and white filter. Make the caption say, so jealous Dallas always knows how to surprise my

bff, #imsosingle." Posh proudly smiled as Milan tilted his head in slight hesitation.

"But that's gonna make me look like I'm jealous of you?" Milan softly spoke.

"Duh, that's the point. Just do it. You might even get like free 30 followers and a couple of hate

comments." Posh proceeded to walk down the pedestal with Cadence helping him down, his heels This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

slowly hitting the ground. "Trust me Milan, I'm doing this for you so you can get exposure and not

always have to stay behind my shadow all the time." He cheekily smiled.

"Benny I can't watch this, this is actually too much." I began to walk back into the cabin as I kept staring

at Dallas who just stood by himself, his fists tightly clenched as he cried from being so humiliated in

front of everyone. "I don't know how anyone can just not say anything." I spoke under my breath.

Benny quietly laughed. "You didn't say anything either. You trying to go up against Posh?" He raised a

brow at me, almost as if the thought excites him.

"I don't think I can, I'm not confrontational at all. But I mean someone else has to eventually do it right?

Has it been like this like forever? Just letting someone like Posh treat everybody else like he's some

main character of a show or something?" My eyes met Benny's as our voices lowered.

Benny crossed his arms as he deeply sighed. "To me not really only because I think he knows I would

cuss him the fuck out and will probably hurt his feelings. To others though, most definitely."

I'm pretty sure the only reason why everyone has been just letting Posh get away with everything is

because everyone seems to be afraid of him.

Personally, I didn't wanna get into it because I rather not be socially executed. It already happened at

my school and I don't want it to happen here either. How the hell did Posh even gain this much power

over everyone.

"Let's go get fro yo to celebrate!" Posh cheered towards Milan and Cadence, then carelessly walking

pass Dallas without saying anything to him.

I couldn't help but let out a face of frustration as I quickly spoke to Benny. "That was honestly so

depressing. It's already enough people like us get put down a lot, but us putting each other down?" I

was speechless as I glanced at Dallas. "Just go back in without me, I can't leave him like that." I

replied, my voice was audibly worried as Benny just nodded in reply.

I sighed as my hands gently touched against Dallas's broad back, catching his attention towards me.

Dallas looked up as he took a deep breath, wiping his tears away from his reddened eyes. "Dallas you

can't keep letting him treat you like this!" My voice grew louder as I glared at him. "You're not a

peasant!"

Although I only knew Dallas from that time he spilled food on me, I couldn't possibly hold a grudge just

because of that accident. My eyes widened as Dallas's strongly structured arms quickly went around

me. "B-because I love him Micah." He struggled to talk as I felt him breathe against my neck.

"Why?" My voice was strongly confused. "He's clearly not treating you like he loves you back so why

do you love him so much? You don't deserve to be treated like a piece of shit Dallas, nobody does."

Silence broke as we just stood there, his strong arms still wrapped around me in a hug as he helplessly

stood with despondency.

He took deep breath as he quickly wiped his tears away, finally breaking the silence. "S-see you around

Micah." He spoke low as he sniffed, his tone incredibly sullen.

I remained quiet, noticing him completely ignore my question as he walked away.

Dallas is so whipped.
