CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1506

Although the van slowed down, Winnie was suddenly shoved out, hitting the ground hard. The physical pain was intense, but it couldn't compare to the ache in her heart. She watched as the van sped away into the distance. Trembling, she pulled out her phone and called Jamie.

"Jamie, what are you doing right now? I need to ask you something in person." Winnie's tone made it clear that she knew something was wrong.

Hearing her voice, Jamie immediately sensed the weight of the situation. Winnie must have found out the truth. There was no way Jamie could focus on work until they cleared the air. Without hesitation, Jamie dropped what she was doing and rushed to meet her.

When she arrived, she found Winnie sitting on the curb, her face blank and her eyes hollow.

Jamie ran over quickly. "Winnie, what happened?"

At the sound of her voice, Winnie lifted her head. A bitter smile played at the corners of her mouth. "Don't you know what happened, my dear sister?"All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

She deliberately emphasized the word "sister," her tone dripping with sarcasm. The mockery on her lips and the coldness in her gaze told Jamie everything. Winnie knew everything now.

Jamie had always known that the truth would come out someday. Secrets couldn't stay buried forever. But she hadn't expected this day to come so soon.

Her throat tightened, as if something heavy was lodged inside. "Winnie, I never meant to hide this from you. Back then, I left Ben and accepted money from his mother." Jamie lowered her head and sat beside Winnie.

But Winnie immediately sprang to her feet, recoiling reflexively. "I don't care about your past. What I can't forgive is the fact that you hid it from me afterward!

"What kind of person do you think I am? Did you think I didn't deserve to know the truth? Or did you think I'd fight you for Ben if I found out?"

Her anger and hurt were undeniable, and Jamie's chest ached with guilt. As painful as this moment was, it was better for Winnie to know now than later.

Jamie's voice cracked as she

explained, "Lonly saw him again at your engagement party. I never

intended to hide it from you, but had no reason to fear you'd compete with me for him. We broke up a long time ago."

Despite the situation, Jamie felt a strange sense of relief. Now that Winnie knew, she wouldn't have live in constant fear of the truth

coming out. Nor would she have to

keep enduring Ben's net

Jamie made her decision. "I'll leave with Charlie. Winnie, from now on, you and Ben can live your lives without me in the picture. I won't interfere anymore."

A bitter smile crossed Winnie's face.

"Live a good life? Ben has vanished. How exactly am I supposed to live a good life with him? I saved every penny could to help you and Charlie, but how did you repay me? You hid the truth and kept me in the dark."

Jamie's brows furrowed. If Ben had disappeared, then who had told Winnie everything? Was it Ben's mother? Summer? Her fists clenched tightly at her sides. She may not have money or power, but she wouldn't allow anyone to hurt her family.

Lowering her head, Jamie said softly, "Winnie, this is all my fault. If you want to yell or hit me, I won't stop you. Everything is on me."

It was Ben who had lied about his identity and orchestrated everything. Jamie had been a victim too, manipulated into playing her part. Yet, she couldn't escape the guilt of her role in the betrayal. Winnie, however, had no interest in her apology. "The damage is done. What good is saying all this now? Jamie, from this day forward, we are no longer sisters. I never want to see you again!"
