Chapter 1154
Rosalie's heart trembled. She rushed forward and covered Theodore's mouth with her hand, her eyes filled with intense panic. "Don't say such things."
He had a son now, but he was speaking of an end to his lineage. She also didn't want Theodore to die a terrible death.
Theodore grabbed her wrist and suddenly pulled her into his arms, lowering his head to kiss her lips.
Rosalie's eyes widened, and her mind felt like it exploded in that instant. In a panic, she stretched out both hands to push him away, trying to resist- but he wouldn't budge.
Rosalie dared not struggle or shout too hard, fearing that Justin might hear. Justin would certainly come out to stop them. He was injured and running a fever; his body couldn't handle such an ordeal. He definitely wouldn't be a match for Theodore.
Rosalie had no choice but to helplessly close her eyes, allowing him to kiss her.
After a long while, Theodore finally let her go. He cupped the back of her head with one hand and held her waist with the other, his breath hot against her skin.
Rosalie struggled fiercely to break free from his embrace. She raised her hand and slapped him hard across the face, gritting her teeth as she spat, "You're shameless."
Theodore's eyes turned red, and he said in a strained voice, "You wanted to know whether I harmed him, didn't you? I told you I didn't, but you didn't believe me. The only thing I can do is swear and say these harsh words, but you won't let me. Rose, what is it that you want?"
He was about to go mad because of this woman.
"I want you to stop looking at me like that. I want you to stop holding onto any hope that we can reconcile. We're divorced, Theo. I don't love you like I used to. We are done. I hope you understand that," Rosalie retorted.
The feeling of despair spread from his head to his toe. He nearly fainted at that instant.
Rosalie turned away to wipe away the tears on her face. "I don't want to argue with you here. Steve is still sleeping, and Justin is running a high fever. I'm begging you."
Theodore suddenly started laughing. He stumbled toward the couch and sat down.
The two of them fell into silence.
It wasn't until two doctors arrived that things began to stir. They were both in plain clothes, carrying a large case with medical supplies and important medications inside.
They entered the room, and Justin was already delirious from the fever. The doctors treated his wounds and administered an injection. Before leaving, they left some medication and gave Rosalie instructions on how to administer it.
After the doctors left, Theodore said, "He's fine now. I'll leave first. Don't worry, no one will know about what happened tonight."
Theodore turned to leave.
"Theo," Rosalie called after him.
"What do you want to say now? That you don't love me anymore?"
"I believe Justin's condition has nothing to do with you. I'm sorry for suspecting you, but I hope you can understand. I know you don't like Justin. When he left quietly from the hospital in Melrine, I felt like it had something to do with you. You must have said something to him."
Theodore turned around. "Yes, I told him to leave you because I thought he was dangerous and would bring you trouble. Even if you hate me for it, I don't mind. As long as you're safe."
"I won't hate you for that. I know you were doing it for my sake. But I also want to tell you, please stop interfering in things between Justin and me. We're divorced. I've never interfered in your relationship with Aurora."
If it weren't for Aurora, maybe things between them wouldn't have gotten so tense. Unfortunately, there was Aurora.
Theodore had already slept with Aurora, something Rosalie couldn't accept. The man who claimed to love her had slept with another woman. What did he take her for? Up until now, he was the only man Rosalie had ever been with.
Theodore had divorced her, and he was an adult man with needs. Since he already had Aurora, he shouldn't keep elinging to his ex-wife. What was he thinking? Did he want to be a two-timer?
He was divorced, and so was she.
He could be with Aurora, and she could love another man-although that man might not have appeared yet.
From the moment Rosalie learned that Theodore had slept with Aurora, she had completely given up on him. He couldn't control his heart or his body. Theodore nodded, completely defeated. "I understand."
Suddenly, Steve began to cry.
Upon hearing Steve making a noise, Rosalie was about to go over, but Theodore was faster, rushing into the room and quickly picking Steve up. "Why are you crying, little one? Did I wake you up by accident?"NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
