CHAPTER 12- PRINCE CHARMING
CHAPTER 12- PRINCE CHARMING
The room was engulfed in an awkward silence as the man shot her a piercing glance; Rose and Jack
looked at each other, a bit perplexed to be precise. Ryan stared blankly at her trying to piece her words
and make something logical for his human brain to understand. His eyes were as silent as some
stream lost in the woods. While the two were getting stressed out back there this girl was casting him
an angelic smile. Everyone knew that Ryan hated to be kid around with; if this idiot was to piss him the
one who would be getting punished would be the two who brought her here. What they could say, the
girl was ordered to be left unscratched even if she was skinning someone alive.
The man calmly asked, “What are you trying to say?” Bee nodded, blushing her heart out. Whatever
she said was as true as the Moon and Sun; she indeed had seen and has been seeing him in her
dream for the past four years since she was in the club. Te dream was not like some usual long piece
of sight but rather like a jog of snippets of events.
The dreams usually lasted for an average for 15 to 20 seconds with the longest being that of 30
seconds. In this she would see this man, literally his handsome face, flashing across her eyes faintly.
The vision she saw was through her perspective; most of the time she saw him holding her hands,
smiling at her, correcting her hairs and every warm side a man could possibly have.
At first she thought it would be random piece of her wild imaginations but later when she started seeing
him almost every day the girl started to panic. She stated her plight to her other colleagues, four other
girls around the age of 18 and 19 who shared the room with her; the girls giggled and teased her
saying that Bee was hallucinating about her ‘Prince Charming’.
‘Prince Charming!’ This particular word caught her attention; when she probed them further she was
explained that Prince of the Dreams was someone who a girl admires and wishes for him to be her
lover.
Bee was extremely shy that she ran away from the spot back to her bunk and started to evaluate
everything with her peanut sized brain. Was he really her Prince Charming? She means, she had been
seeing him lately in her dreams, he was handsome and desirable, he was treating her so indulgent and
warm as if she was his lover. She covered her flushing face which was tingling pink; all these years she
had been terming him as her ‘Prince Charming’ and had some emotions already budded for him.
She too was rendered speechless when he came out to be a real human and not just her wild
imagination. She used to believe that he was just a face she sculpted herself for her fantasies about
her better half. Maybe he reflected her desires of wanting a caring, good and handsome man for
herself; it was purely fictional for her until that night when she saw him in flesh and blood collapsed
right in her arms.
Her mind was electrocuted; how can this be true that the man who used to live in her dreams has Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
mysteriously appeared alive in front of her eyes. She was unable to explain this phenomenon herself;
she had no rational explication, all she knew that she had found the man of her dreams, or at least
what she believed him to be, and she was not letting go of him.
She was doubtful a while ahead but not anymore- she had got this thing engraved in herself that she
was going to stay with him if he was willing to treat her like this forever. She had no idea if she wanted
to date him or woo, she... just wanted to stay with him as his presence was already a ‘mermaid’ to her.
She explained herself, “Mr. Neguyan, you may not want to believe me but Little Bee is not lying. I have
seen that same stone face of yours with a bit of smile like over a million times for the past four years.
You are my Prince Charming!”
Rose was a little fascinated by the girl’s courage, she asked, “Bee, do you know what you are saying?”
The girl nodded, “Yes, I am sane! Mr. Neguyan is my Prince Charming...”
“But you are not the one I love...” Ryan, who was patiently hearing to everything all this while, cut her
off in a tone with layer of frost settled on it. Bee shivered a bit, she wasn’t expecting his answer to be
this abrupt and rude. The three fell silent, it was damn clear that the mob wasn’t happy with this
conversation.
He closed his eyes trying to subside his grim anger erupting inside him; with the tone as frigid as the
last one he said, “I treat you good because you saved my life; stop over thinking it... You can never be
her! Your fantasy stories won’t work here, give up!” Bee’s face was almost pale by now, there were no
hint of smile or excitement. She had no idea why she was being scolded like this. Fantasy stories? Did
he think she was faking it all?
She dared not to stay there for a while, turning at rose she clutched her sleeves and whispered in a
cracking voice, “He is bad... Take me back!” Rose raised her head to see Ryan staring at Bee, his eyes
growing dark out of anger. She didn’t feel it wise to stay there another minute; bowing down at Ryan
she hastened the girl out.
Bee was almost in tears as she walked out of the door; Rose too was not in a great mood either. She
asked, “Why would you say such a lame lie?” Bee remained silent not because she had no answer but
because she was trying hard to keep back her tears to herself. The two came back and Bee silently sat
on her bed, “I will get going.” The agent said and turned back to leave. She was just about to exit when
she heard Little Bee’s lowered voice mumbling, “I was not lying...”
Rose had nothing to say else than a ‘mmm’; she closed the door behind her and walked back to her
own room.
Back in the office, Ryan puffed a cigarette standing on his balcony. The place where his mansion stood
was miles away from humans and thus it was dead silent. He lived in the untouched forests of New
Orleans and this neighborhood was not that popular amidst the party loving life out there.
The man looked extremely good when he exhaled a beautiful smoke ring; Jack was sitting on a chair
doing something on his laptop. A moment later he said, “They have given us the money; we can
execute the job.”
“Mmm... We are gonna assassinate a politician; don’t make a mistake.” Ryan said calmly. “We will be
careful!” Jack reassured and continued, “Ten more days, Boss! Then we will have to go back to
Barcelona...”
Ryan nodded; he will be taking on his father’s business this time. This business was just a cover up;
even though it was flourished the Neguyan family were not too leaned over it. Seeing the man blank
Jack hesitated for a moment before asking, “What about the girl?”
