Fall for You After Divorce

Chapter 27

Chapter 27

Didn’t he have no feelings for Briana?

Why?

Mallory sensed the sadness on Kiley’s face and felt heartbroken. She immediately supported Kiley to prevent her from falling to the ground.

“Kiley, don’t be sad. Maxim must have said this on purpose because he didn’t want to humiliate the Schneider family.”

After hearing this, Kiley felt that she had clutched the last straw and nodded. “It must be the case. Maxim would never like Briana. We’re a couple!”

Desmond and Lacey exchanged glances and found shock in each other’s eyes.

They always thought that Maxim was on bad terms with Briana. When Kiley was back, they would surely get a divorce, and that was why the old couple looked down on and schemed against Briana without fear. If Maxim still had feelings for Briana, they had to think twice!

Soon, Desmond came to his senses and said to Maxim, “Mr. Yoder, you think too highly of us. We just thought that there was a misunderstanding, so we asked Briana to explain it to the guests, or they would have a false image of her!”

Maxim had a long face, and he said word by word, “What’s there to misunderstand? I was in the bar that day. We had a conflict, so she deliberately interacted with a barman to anger me. This is how we enjoy our relationship. Do we need to explain it to all of you?

“Who cares so much about our privacy? How about I let you install a camera in my house so you can watch over us every day?”

He swept his cold gaze around the venue, and the crowd looked down because of his glance. No one dared to look into his eyes. Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

Nobody dared to say anything. If they offended Maxim, he could bankrupt them in minutes. They would never pursue this matter unless they were crazy.

Socialites and business owners played wilder games, but it was just that they weren’t exposed.

The hall was in silence. Everyone held their breath, for fear that Maxim would notice them.

After the shock in the beginning, Briana calmed down and shook off Maxim’s hand. She strode to the entrance of the hall.

Maxim furrowed his brows and followed her.

Kiley bit her lips and ran after them.

When they arrived at the entrance, Kiley stopped Maxim.

She looked at him with a fearful face. “Maxim, did you fall in love with Briana?”

Displeasure flashed across Maxim’s eyes, and he said flatly, “Kiley, this is between me and Briana. It has nothing to do with you.”

“How could that be?”

Kiley almost broke down, and tears kept flowing out of her eyes. “We were a couple. She came in between us when you had the car accident. You didn’t publicize your marriage because you’ve been waiting for me, did you?”

Maxim fell silent for a few seconds and then said with an emotionless face. “I did intend to wait for you, but as time passed, I didn’t have this idea anymore. Kiley, you’ll meet a better guy.”

“You’re the best man I’ve ever met. Maxim, I know that you still like me. I’m not going to give up!”

Maxim frowned. “You’re still young, so you don’t have to waste your time on…”

Kiley interrupted him and said word by word, “This isn’t a waste of time. I won’t fall in love with anyone else except for you!”

Maxim’s eyes went colder when he saw Kiley’s firm gaze. He left without saying anything else.

Back in the villa, Maxim had a trace of anger in his eyes when he saw Briana sitting on the sofa in the living room. “Why didn’t you come back without me?”

Briana didn’t answer and calmly gazed at him. “Maxim, we need to talk.”

Maxim sat down opposite Briana with coldness in his eyes.

“What do you want to talk about?”
