Chapter 21
Chapter 21 I’ve Always Wanted Him “James…” Paul, who had recovered from his shock, hurriedly called out to him, but James didn’t even turn his head. Kevin looked at James’ back and asked, “Something wrong with your brother?” Paul smiled and said, “He’s the only heir of the Evans Group, so he’s under a lot of pressure. Occasionally he lets his temper get the better of him. Please don’t mind his behavior, Mr. Harris.”
After simply explaining, Paul picked up his glass and apologized to them. “I’ll drink a glass of wine on his behalf as a punishment.” After finishing it in one gulp, Paul put down the glass and said gently, “You two have fun. I’m going to check on my brother.” He maintained his politeness and manners throughout the conversation, and since there was no reason to keep him any longer, Kevin said, “Let’s meet again next time.” Paul nodded, put on his shirt, picked up his suit jacket, and hurriedly left. Kayla looked like she wanted to play another game. But seeing that Paul had left, she had no choice but to throw away the cards in her hand and follow him quickly out the door. Then, Kevin and Amelia were left in the private room, the silence deafening. Kevin was a little frustrated, and rubbed the space between his eyebrows. He had originally hoped that after having some fun, they could discuss the project, but James had left so abruptly before he could even bring it up. Luck was not on his side tonight.
He was no longer in the mood to play. He waved his hand and drov e the others out of the private room. After everyone had left, he looked at Amelia with confusion. “Do you know James?”
From the beginning, James had been making things difficult for Amelia, especially after hearing that Kevin had slept with her. This proved that there was more to their relationship than just acquaintances. It was clear that it was far deeper than that. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
Amelia sat still in her kneeling position, drops of red wine dripping down her face. The deep red of the wine running down her fair cheeks, almost like tears, made her appear stunningly beautiful, yet also deeply sad.
