Chapter 35
Chapter 35
Gina slowly withdrew her gaze, and her eyes full of killing intent. Frank got away this time. He wouldn’t be lucky next time. Eliza had a complicated look. She looked at her mother and said firmly, “Mom, Frank is powerful in Mayfield, so we have to be nice to him. Why are you at loggerheads with him all the time?” Gina glared at Eliza and said coldly, “Go to bed. What do you know?” “I’m not a child anymore. Why can’t you treat me as an adult?” Eliza pouted. She turned around and walked back to her room.
Steve wanted to speak but was stopped by Gina. “Steve, go to bed. We can talk tomorrow in the company.” Steve nodded and then went to his room. Gina looked at the study room with disdain. She thought, “The old bastard is thinking about that woman again, but she will never come back.” Gina smiled coldly. Frank was a good bargaining chip. Mila never appeared again. Gina twisted her slender waist and walked into her room.
Judith was exhausted the whole day and did not wake up until eight o’clock.
The phone on the bedside table rang. Judith smiled and reached for her phone to answer the call. “Mom, it’s Lucas.” The eldest son’s voice came from the other side of the line. Judith smiled happily. “Lucas, why are you calling so early?” “Mom, grandma said that we are going to settle in Mayfield. It’s a sudden decision.”
Judith pursed her lips and was thinking about how to explain to her son, “Lucas, I will work at the headquarters here, and Mayfield is a good city. The three of you can receive a better education when you come here.” “Mom, I respect your choice. Emily is very happy too. Eric had a successful audition yesterday. He has an event today and was picked up by Alissa this morning.” When Judith heard this, she smiled happily. Eric liked acting. She couldn’t stop him so she just let him do it.
Judith suddenly asked cautiously, “Lucas, how is your grandma? Is she okay?” Judith knew that her mother didn’t want to go back to Mayfield. When Judith mentioned Mayfield, her mother’s face would
change suddenly. “Mom, grandma is fine. She was very happy. She said that she was happy as long as we were together.” Hearing this, Judith felt relieved. She was pleased that her mother was willing to come back. “Mom, you have to go to work. I’m going to hang up.” “Okay! Lucas, I will buy a house and take you over soon.” After the call, Judith was in high spirits. She quickly got out of bed and prepared to go to work. In Kimshire.
In Judith’s apartment.
A pretty little girl half-opened her eyes. Her eyelashes were long and curly, as beautiful as butterfly wings! The little girl had the same face as Lucas, but she looked more lovely as a girl. But right now, she was very unhappy. She pouted her little mouth and squinted at her brother sadly. She complained in her soft voice, “Lucas, you hung up the phone again. You didn’t even let me talk to mom. I miss her so much. You are so bad. You only think of yourself every time.” Her thick and long eyelashes flickered. She had tears in her eyes now. Lucas couldn’t stand seeing his little sister cry. It would break his heart. Emily was the little princess of their family.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
