Love Of Wind And Clouds

Chapter 32

At this moment, in the dark room, Lyle was still passionately editing the new photos taken of Rosalind.

He clearly understood the feelings of his classmate, so he could only quietly watch her from afar or through photos.

On the day that Wynn suddenly returned from the academy, announcing that he overheard the conversation between Rosalind and Daniel, Lyle knew that Nathan had had an accident.

The source of it all started when Rosalind asked Daniel to help her handle the Southern company by putting pressure on the partners, asking them to slow down the payment schedule for the projects this company was carrying out.

On the other hand, she asked Daniel to order the bank to tighten and no longer support, pushing the Southern company’s finances to a dead end.

Because she loved Nathan so much, she lied to Daniel that she wanted revenge on the person who did not accept her love.

But her purpose is so that when the Southern company is about to go bankrupt, she will appear and offer to help Nathan.

But she did not expect that things would not be as she expected, going in a completely different direction.

Saturday morning was a beautiful sunny day, the weather was still a bit cold even though a warm spring was coming.

Dylan took Camila to the car and drove her straight to E province to visit her old school friend and his wife, who were also Stephen’s parents, Neil and Elysia.

Their farm is located in a prime location, surrounded by mountains and streams. Here, Neil mainly grows grapes and raises dairy cows.

Seeing his friend and her son visit him, he and his wife immediately went to welcome them.Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

“Hello, you two.” Dylan bowed politely.

“Let’s go inside. Stephen will probably be home in the afternoon. I told him you’d come to visit.” Elysia spoke up.

The couple quickly invited the two guests into the house and poured tea, welcoming them warmly.

Neil only briefly asked Dylan about the group’s business situation, and then he, his wife, and Camila reviewed stories from when they were in school.

After Dylan finished his cup of tea, he asked permission to go out for a walk. The atmosphere in the quiet countryside was so pleasant, it made his soul seem to calm down.

Walking to the bank of the stream, where the ducks were swimming leisurely, he felt sad when he saw the mother duck helping her ducklings preen their feathers.

Even though he knew that life and death had become a law of nature, he could not happily accept it.

The day he was discharged from the hospital was also the day he found out that his mother had a terrible cancer. So he gave up his dream and entered the business world, only hoping that she would have relaxing days to rest.

Dylan knows his mother is proud of him, but what she desires most is a daughter-in-law, which he can’t fulfill.

He told himself he would wait until the wedding went smoothly before he let Nancy and his mother meet.

He has a strong belief that he will quickly win that girl’s heart.

In the afternoon, Stephen came back from province C. He slowly drove into the gate.

Honestly, he wanted to visit home often, but every time his mother saw his face, she would ask about the progress of the project to find her future daughter-in-law.

So he felt scared, and the time he set foot here became less and less.

Dylan was very surprised when he saw Stephen carrying several foam boxes in the back of the car. Dylan helped him bring them out while asking questions.

“What are these foam boxes?”

“Seafood donated by Ella.” Stephen replied tiredly.

“Did you accept bribes?” Dylan squinted and asked.

“There’s only a few crabs and you’re telling me to accept bribes? Thanks to Paul’s blessings. Maybe the president is about to hire a new assistant. He’s at risk of becoming the son-in-law of Province C.”

“What’s up?”

“Paul seems to have fallen in love with Ella, he even gave her a pair of swans…”

Before Stephen finished speaking, Dylan grabbed the pair of swans made of white snail shells in his hands and looked at them carefully.

“Did you visit the orphanage?”

“Give it back to me.” Stephen reached out and snatched it back, glaring.

Both of them quickly brought all the boxes into the kitchen and helped Elysia and Camila prepare. There are no daughters in the house, so the son is forced to go to the kitchen and cook.

The dinner took place in a friendly and happy atmosphere. Everyone talked for a while and then changed the topic to the two young masters’ establishment of a family home.

Contrary to Stephen’s previous attitude of not caring about worldly affairs, today when he heard Elysia mention this issue, he responded enthusiastically.

He plans to quit his job at Global Corporation after getting married, travel around the world with his wife, then return to the farm to live, grow grapes together, and raise dairy cows.

When Neil and Elysia heard their son express that wish, they were extremely happy. Camila also enthusiastically supported his decision.

As for Dylan, he just remained silent. He knew clearly that his friend had not suddenly changed like that.

After dinner, darkness covered the farm. Dylan went up to the terrace to enjoy the fresh air, watch the dim stars in the quiet black sky, and hear the sound of insects playing a melancholy tune.

Dylan still knows Neil is his benefactor, but if he forces him to give up the girl he loves for Stephen, he can’t do it. That love was extremely precious to him, even though it was fragile.

“Haven’t you slept yet?” Stephen walked closer to Dylan and gave him a glass of wine.

“I rarely get to go to the countryside like this. I am enjoying it.”

“I thought you were that businessman with a dry heart.”

Stephen said and lightly touched his glass to Dylan’s, then brought it to his lips.

Dylan took a sip of wine, continued to look into the distance, and spoke.

“Stephen, if one day you and I love the same girl, what will you do?”

“No big deal. We will compete fairly with each other. In the end, I will respect her decision.” Stephen answered.

“Really?”

“Of course. I’m fair and reasonable. Even so, I will still do the job you assigned well, do you agree?”

Stephen did not know that the person Dylan mentioned was Nancy. He thought Dylan was just asking a random question. He was excited to return to the city and immediately went into the darkroom to develop the photos and give them to her.
