It must have been after Sasha came to see Keira that Hayden started planning this.

"He originally intended to wait," Lena said, exhaling deeply, as if relieved she no longer had to keep the secret. "He was worried the wedding would tire you out, but he didn't want you to face strange looks or be judged for being pregnant before marriage. So, your husband decided on a secret wedding and made all of us play along"

"Since the bride-to-be already knows," Lena said with a playful smirk, "it's time to get you suited up." She led Keira to the wedding dress.

“This dress was designed by your Mr. Hart himself,” Lena said as Keira changed. “He had it custom-made entirely by hand. Do you know how much it cost?" She held up several fingers. A wedding dress this expensive could easily be a family heirloom."

"Not a bad idea," Keira joked. "I'll pass it down to my daughter-in-law, then to my granddaughter-in-law. We'll make it a tradition."

Lena stared at Keira, her eyes softening. "Rea, seeing you this beautiful and happy makes me want to get married too-like, right now."

"Go ahead," Keira teased. Call your uncle and see if he agrees."

"What does he have to do with this?" she shot back, pointing at her in mock war

Keira grinned, her eyes curving mischievously. "Because he's your guardian, of course. You need his permission to marry."

Lena lowered her hand, realizing Keira wasn't about to say something outrageous. "Fine, I'll let that slide... But seriously, I do want to get married. I'm

not getting any younger, you know. Do you have a handsome, considerate man like your Hayden to introduce to me?"

"Well, there is one, but he's getting married today," Keira joked. "Unless you want to put on a wedding dress too and join me. We're close enough that we wouldn't fight over him, right?"

Lena laughed and nodded. “Sure, as long as your Mr. Hart has the stamina for both of us."

Keira nudged her playfully with her belly. "Don't question my Hayden's stamina. This little one here is proof enough.”

"Ah, my bad! Talking nonsense in front of the baby-what a sin!" Lena clasped her hands together in a prayer pose and muttered, "Amitabha."noveldrama

Her unintended gesture brought Jace to Keira's mind.

For so many years, she had believed she would marry him. But now, he was in another world.

After she changed into her wedding dress, and Lena into her bridesmaid gown, they were preparing to leave when there was a knock on the door. It was Gavin.

The moment Keira saw him, she remembered that he'd mentioned Jace had left something for her-a gift meant to be delivered on my wedding day. But Gavin didn't immediately hand her the gift. Instead, he asked, "Can you co a moment?"
