Chapter 17: Shut Up NAD.
Chapter 17: Shut Up NAD.
Nadia's POV.
He might not recognize me but I knew him very well. Even though he had saved my life and that of my
son's, I still didn't know why I hated him into my bones. It seems he had done me a grave sin but it was
also obvious that it was just a few days back that we had met. But the strange feeling of
acknowledgement was so strong I couldn't understand why, touching as I did hurt my hand strongly and
the pain he inflicted on me had become a tattoo on my skin. And it had got me thinking about the power
he had ignited in me that I knew nothing of before I met him. My heart beat for him, I couldn't figure out
if it was out of fear or hate or something else but it was likeable that it was all of it. I walked closer to
him then instantly, I heard a voice say,
“What's she doing here? She always took the back gate, what happened today? ”
I looked at the person before he or she could see that I was looking and saw that it was the receptionist
before she could do something about being caught, I had already seen and heard her. I was going to
question her about her thoughts but then I realized that they were actually her thoughts and it wasn't
wise for me to ask her about it. I looked back at his way to find him limping away, I looked at his leg and
felt guilty for what I did, hurting my savior. But then a voice whispered in me, saying,
He deserves it better than anyone, I hurt him on purpose, don't worry about him. I looked around
astonished and afraid but found only my male bodyguard standing a few meters away. I held my chest
and breathed as slow as I could, then I asked myself,
“What is happening to you? who is that inside me?”
“I'm only your power, and yes he ignited me with his first touch. ” It said calmly.
“Shut up!! just shut up NAD. Don't talk to yourself okay?”
I said and walked inside the building on my way to my office, the employees greeted me on my way but
I was sure I wasn't in for that, that day. I got to my office and called my secretary not to let anyone in
the office for an hour. I sat on the chair behind the desk and decided to contact that thing in me once
again, so I asked,
“Who are you, once again?”
“I am you, or should I say the old version of you. I had wanted to stay quiet forever but his presence
irritates me, can you not let him touch us? Or us him?” She said in a chilly voice.
“Are you talking about Logan? Why are you so angry with him? He hasn't wronged me in anyway. ” I
said confused.
“I will not tell you anything for now but just stay away from him, he isn't good for us. ” she said
annoyingly.
I was in my mind till I saw a person standing in front of me. Then he said surprisingly in an under
wetting voice,
“What a coincidence, who would have thought, you would be the one that hired me?”
“I did what?” She took control of me before I could do anything, my voice wasn't functioning anymore.
“You hired me, but I think you didn't know it was my application you were approving. ” He said with a
smile on his face but she wasn't backing down.
“No of course I didn't if I did, I would never have hired you. ” She said steadfastly.
“Wait, what? how have I offended you?” He asked and kept his weight on his other leg, his hands in his
pocket, he was very manly and I could see it through his shirt and his arms beside him.
“You have no idea!!!” She shouted.
“Tell me. ” He demanded calmly.
Then the phone rang on my desk, I hurriedly picked it up to stop the conversation between those two. I
couldn't even understand what was going on and why I had another being within me.
I received the call and his voice came through, that of my father, then he asked,
“NAD, has the driver for Leo arrived? He was supposed to return the message yesterday but I haven't
heard of him till now. ” Said my father curiously. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
“Daddy, he is standing in front of me now. Hey I am sorry, I was rude before. Daddy, I will sort this out
first and call you back. ” I pleaded to Logan through my father's call and he stood there shocked at my
sudden change of behavior.
“You must hire him NAD, he has the nicest profile among all the rest. ” He finished saying and hanged
up.
