Rewriting My Heart's Fate

Chapter 458

I reviewed the draft design closely and made suggestions for changes.

It was a light blue chiffon maxi dress with pink flowers embroidered on it, paired with a bright red linen collar. The design combined timeless elegance with a modern twist. "Well, this design is pretty unique." I nodded approvingly. "But I think it would look great with a little creativity at the hem and a deep red silk ribbon around the waist." "Great idea! You're always spot-on with design," Lianne said, eagerly writing down my suggestions.

The whole morning flew by as we got lost in our discussion. Our stomachs started growling around noon, and we reluctantly agreed to wrap up.

"Come on, let's go down to the cafeteria for lunch," Lianne suggested, smiling and wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "You've been working all morning, so treat yourself to a good lunch. We'll be working late this afternoon." I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

Lianne dragged me out of the office. As we reached the door, Ethan called out, "Ms. Wiley, why don't we grab lunch together? I've got some thoughts on the new products we discussed."

I was ready to decline, but Lianne's curious look made me bite back my refusal and smile instead. "Well... sure! I do have some questions for you, Mr. Grayson."

"You don't have to be so formal. Just call me Ethan," he said, sounding friendly.novelbin

My heart did a little flip, and I quickly avoided his gaze. How could he be so direct? I had no choice but to follow him out, while Lianne gave me a knowing look. "So, where are we going for lunch?" I asked, irritated.

"A place you really like," Ethan said, taking my hand and leading the way.

Caught off guard and frustrated, I tried to yank my hand free, but he wouldn't let go. I had no choice but to walk with him through the streets of Lendora.

I kept my head down, hoping I wouldn't be recognized. If the paparazzi snapped a picture, we'd be all over the tabloids.

After what felt like forever, Ethan

finally stopped. I looked up and saw

a simple Galorian restaurant

sign that read "The Lucky with a

Crest" in

bold lettering.

I gave Ethan a surprised look. "Is this..."

He took me straight inside, beaming with pride. "Remember this place?"

I glanced around, and suddenly, memories came rushing back. This Galorian restaurant was where Ethan and I had our first date in Lendora in our past life.

It was our first time traveling abroad, so everything felt new and exciting. Knowing how much I missed the taste of home, Ethan had found this place to treat me to some real Galorian food.

We talked for hours during that meal. I couldn't believe we were back here together after everything. But things were different now.

"Let's... sit over there." I lowered my gaze and pointed to a table in the corner.

The next thing I knew, I was already in my seat, feeling awkward as I absentmindedly fiddled with the tablecloth.

"What do you feel like eating?" Ethan asked. The way he spoke immediately reminded me of our past life. "Anything," I murmured.

"Well, how about we go with what

$l

we had before? Grilled salmon, shrimp, roasted asparagus..." He

named all the same dishes just like

he did in our past life.

I couldn't help but wonder. Did he still remember all this? How was that even possible? Was it a coincidence, or was there something more to it?

Ethan smiled as if he could read my mind. "Evelyn, you've always been in my heart."

I froze. His words were so bold and direct. What did he mean by that?
