THAYER

Damn.

I wanted her again. These needs would never stop—would not diminish. Who could resist a beautiful

Kennedy naked in a bathtub?

I stripped my clothes and joined her.

We came together and cuddled as I gave her a massage, and that massage turned her on. She came

in my fingers. God, when she came, she was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen—flushed skin,

dreamy eyes, purring like a kitten in my arms.

After we showered together, I fed her. Now she slept soundly in bed. I was tempted to join her, but I

had a lot of work that I left before I went to the US, and I had to prepare for the upcoming gala event.

I tried to focus on the words of my mother over the phone. My mind went somewhere else—

somewhere in between Kennedy’s legs. Jesus. It was mortifying.

“Honey, are you listening to me?” Her sweet voice pulled me out of my filthy images of Kennedy.

“I’m listening, Mother.” I rubbed my eyes.

“Don’t worry about your father. Leave him to me.” When it came to my father, my mother was his

weakness. I still couldn’t help to not worry. Once his words were out of his mouth, nothing was going to

change it.

“Thank you for doing this for me, Mother.”

“I know we live in two different messy worlds. For people like us, we have rules to follow, titles to take

care of, an image to maintain, a kingdom to lead, but I have only one son, honey. I would only feel

fulfilled if I see my children so happy despite the huge responsibility handed to them, not by their

choices. And I couldn’t just watch you as that poor choice ruined my son’s life. And this is not just a

two-day or a one-week affair, honey. Once you signed up for this, there’s no going back.”

“I’m glad we’re on the same page about this, Mother.”

“Of course, and I saw how this affair affects you. I’m still fond of this, and there are no rules you can’t

choose a woman on your own. Your father’s choices are still reasonable, though. It doesn’t have to be

his first choice, but if you can’t convince Kennedy, you have at least to present someone to your father.”

“Mom, please?”

“I understand. Now how is it going?”

“Great.”

“I heard you have an invitation for her.”

“Yes. But I don’t think she’s ready for this.”

“There’s no exact time for someone to be ready, Thayer. One way or another, she should be prepared

to join your world.”

I sighed deeply. “I hope she won’t be frightened.”

“You’ll think about it later. But right now, do your best to win her heart.”

I chuckled. “I think my charm is not an issue.”

“That’s good to hear. It seems that you’re making some progress. I have to go, honey. Enjoy your time

with Kennedy.”

“Bye, Mom.” I hang up the phone.

I stood up and stretched my limbs. I already missed her. I left the library, hoping I could cuddle for a few

minutes before I left for the gala. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

To my surprise, Kennedy was climbing downstairs. She was wearing a floral maxi dress—she already

looked like a princess.

“Hey.” Her face lit up the moment she saw me. I wished it stayed like this every time we met.

I met her in the middle. “I was just thinking of you.” I held her hands and kissed her.

She smiled against my lips. “What were you thinking about me specifically? Naughty or nice?”

“Both,” I said against her lips. She pressed her palms against my chest. My heart hammered.

Her lips began to move, opening her mouth for me. I slid my tongue in, tasting my sweet Kennedy. This

time, I kissed her slow, sweetly, and gently. My hands traveled down her back as I pressed my hips

against hers. My cock started to strain in my pants.

I normally just took what I wanted. With Kennedy, though, it was different. She was not just any woman

that I could take what I wanted and left after.

The urge to grind to her, pull her dress up, and fuck her against the wall made me spin. But I held back.

Pushing her against the wall, she felt my growing and greedy cock, rewarding me with a gasp, and later

on, a moan.

I squeezed my eyes shut and pulled back. My breathing caught. When I opened my eyes, I planted a

kiss on her forehead.

“I think I believe you now.”

I held her hand as I helped her sit on the stairs. “Don’t ever doubt me, darling.”

Pulling her closer to me, I draped my arm around her, her arm on my thigh. “I’m gonna leave for the

gala.”

Her gaze snapped at me. “When?”

“Right now.”

Her blue eyes gleamed with sadness. I just brought this emotion to her.

“Hey.” I traced her cheek with my thumb. “You’ll see me later.” I didn’t like the idea of leaving her here

either, but I had a protocol to follow.

“Oh.” She looked down, then chuckled. “I feel like stupid, a clingy girlfriend. I don’t even know what we

are. I mean, we slept together, and I’m a guest in your house. I came here for a job. I should have been

putting my attention on that matter and not playing a homey and a housewife.”

I chuckled. “You’re anything, but stupid and clingy are not one of those. You’re not just a guest,

Kennedy. The moment I welcome you into my house, I invited you into my life, and I wanted you to be

there. The moment I kissed you, I offered you myself and my heart. The moment I touched your body,

ate you, and filled you, I gave you myself, my heart, and my soul. So I’d only expect you to accept me,

whoever I am and whatever I am you’re about to know.” I kissed her again. I just couldn’t help it. I just

poured my whole heart into her, and she seemed to get it. She kissed me back the same way as I was

kissing her.

When we pulled apart, she looked straight into my eyes. “You always have beautiful things to say that

made a girl swoon, haven’t you?”

“A beautiful—I mean, a beautiful woman deserves to hear beautiful and honest words.” Before I could

kiss her again, Kennedy froze.

One of my personal details just showed up.

“My apology.” He dropped his gaze.

“Give us a minute.”

“Of course. Again, I apologize.” He stepped back before he turned around and left.

“Do all of your employees have to do that every time they see you?”

“Do what?” I looked at Kennedy though I knew exactly what she meant. “Apologize?”

She rolled her eyes. “Anyway, you were saying?”

“I have to go. You’ll receive your invitation later. I have arranged someone to ready you for the party.”

“Can I pass?” She bit her bottom lip.

I shook my head. “As my gorgeous woman, no. It’s about time I show you my world. To the world.”

She rolled her eyes again, then sighed.

“Don’t worry about the dress. I got it covered.” I stood up. Before I stepped down, I remembered my

mother’s words. I held her hands. “Darling, I want you to listen to me carefully.”

“Now you’re making me nervous.” She really looked nervous, which she never did before.

“Don’t be. Just be yourself. What I wanted to say is.” I paused. “Whatever rumors you hear, or about to

hear and see, always remember what I said—all of it, that I meant every word. My world is different

than yours. Messy, but this is how I brought into the world, and I have no way in getting out of it without

a certain repercussion.” I placed her hand on my chest, where my heart laid. “You’re the only one that

matters to me, that’s why I brought you here. Always remember that I would never break my words. If I

said I gave you my heart, I meant it. However you see me now and later, I’m still the same man when

you first met me. Nothing’s changed. My feelings and my heart are the same.”

“W-why? Why are saying these to me?” Her eyes were swimming with worry.

“I never lied to you. I also haven’t been straightforward when it comes to my life.”

“You told me you’re not married. You’re not dating anyone—”

“Let me correct it. I’m already dating someone.”

She smiled. “You don’t have a fuck buddy—”

“About that—”

She pressed a finger against my lips. “Shush. Stop interrupting me. Do you have a kid?”

I shook my head.

“Oh, my God. We didn’t use protection last night!” Her eyes widened in shock.

“You’re clean, and I’m clean.”

“I’m still being reckless and irresponsible.”

“You’re on a pill, right?” God, I hoped not.

“Yes.” Of course, she is. Did I plan it? Yes, guilty as charged.

“Just a sec!” I knew Ludwig came back.

“Okay. You can’t be late for the party.”

“I promise I was single until last night.” I beamed.

“We’re good. Now, go. Take care.” She kissed me before she let me go.
