Chapter 3535 Sudden Change
The setting sun on the horizon was a deep, crimson color.
Nathan and Colin sat in a taxi as it sped toward the airport on the outskirts, giving them the perfect view of the glorious sunset.
As it turned out, the men were preparing to leave Salinsburgh by plane.
Just then, two cars in front of them suddenly overturned on the road, sending shards of glass scattered all around and leaving faint traces of blood.
A woman and several men stood together, seemingly arguing about something.
The taxi driver furrowed his brows and quickly pulled over. "What's going on?" he muttered. "Has an accident caused this roadblock?"
By then, Colin and Nathan, who were in the front passenger and back seats, were also frowning.
They could both tell that something was amiss.
Growing increasingly impatient, the taxi driver rolled down his window and stuck his head out. "What's the matter with you guys? Can you step aside and let my car pass first?" Upon hearing that, the people up ahead turned around in unison.
Unbeknownst to the driver, the men and woman were Gods disguised as humans, two of whom were Alden and Cassandra.
Alden and Cassandra instantly exchanged a glance. They knew their target had arrived.
The next second, Cassandra strutted toward the taxi in her high-heeled boots and fished out an object about the size of a fist.
After slapping the mysterious item onto the taxi's windshield, she spun on her heels and sashayed away, leaving the driver utterly dumbfounded.
Colin and Nathan, too, watched the small gadget on the windshield warily.
It was neither made of gold nor iron, but it seemed to be imbued with immense energy and even radiated a circle of light.
More importantly, it was also emitting a constant beeping sound.
As the light grew increasingly bright and the beeps got louder, it was as i the gadget was issuing a final warning.
That was when the realization hit Colin hard. "Oh, no. It's an explosive device!"
""Run!" Nathan shouted.
Bang! Bang!
Without further ado, Nathan and Colin acted simultaneously, with Colin kicking the passenger door open while Nathan did the same to the rear door.
At the same time, the duo transformed into two afterimages and darted out of the vehicle.
Alas, they had barely escaped from the taxi when a thunderous explosion rang out from behind.
Sure enough, the taxi had been blown up and turned into a ball of raging fire.
Nathan and Colin might have narrowly escaped disaster, but the poor taxi driver wasn't so lucky, losing his life in the fiery blaze.
Even though Alden and Cassandra
had never expected to kill Nathan with a single energy bomb, they were still somewhat shocked to see the two men escaping the taxi and evading the bomb attack without breaking a sweat.
Alden curled his lips into a smile. "Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come for the mighty God Warriors to hunt the beasts. Go forth and enjoy the thrill of hunting the elites This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.

With that, he raised his left hand and randomly pressed the buttons on the electronic device strapped to his wrist.
In an instant, thousands of vampire warriors lying in ambush acknowledged his message and jumped into action, swiftly surrounding the area.
Just like that, Nathan found himself in an ambush from all angles.
There was no doubt that the warriors planned to close in on him so they could launch a concerted, fatal attack.
When Alden signaled to his fellow God Warriors to spring into action, some had already raised the devices in their left hands and initiated an attack on Nathan and Colin. Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Before long, green laser beams began falling on the two men like raindrops, leaving Nathan shocked and furious.
"It's the Gods! Run!"
After saying that, he and Colin sprang into action and bolted toward a nearby forest as fast as they could.
The God Warriors' lasers missed their targets, striking the ground where the men had run and causing the mud to splash.
From afar, it seemed like flowers were blooming with every step Nathan and Colin took.
"Pay attention," Alden ordered in a low voice. "Don't let the prey escape."
"Don't worry. We've set up an ambush. They won't be able to escape Cassandra replied before pulling out an object that resembled a flashlight and pressing one of its buttons.
A buzzing sound promptly rang out, and a beam of light emerged.
Within seconds, a lightsword had appeared.
With lightsword in hand and a few God Warriors in tow, Cassandra strode off and embarked on her relentless pursuit of Nathan and Colin.
