Salute To The General

Chapter 3555 Thank You

Cassius and a few other men surrounded Nathan. It was clear that they did not harbor good intentions.

Cassius narrowed his eyes and placed a hand on the hilt of his sword, feigning concern as he said, "Mr. Cross, are you alright? Let me assist you." After saying that, he seized the moment when Nathan was distracted and swiftly drew the sword from its scabbard.

Cassius then thrust it fiercely toward Nathan's abdomen.

The forest was shrouded in darkness, so visibility was extremely low.

Given that Nathan was already seriously injured, Cassius assumed this strike was going to be successful.

Much to his surprise, as his sword was about to pierce Nathan's lower abdomen, Nathan made an unexpected counterattack in the heat of the moment. Without warning, Nathan caught the blade with his bare hands.

The blade sliced through Nathan's palm, and blood poured out profusely.

Yet, it also caused the sword to halt, unable to advance even an inch further.

Cassius was taken aback. He stared at Nathan in disbelief as his voice trembled slightly. "Mr. Cross, you-"

Nathan said coldly, "Thanks for that!"

After saying that, he lifted his hand and landed a punch right on Cassius's face.

Thwack!

A single punch shattered Cassius' facial bones.

Before Cassius even had the chance to scream, he had already fallen backward, dying on the spot.

Upon realizing that Nathan had seen through their plot and killed Cassius, the remaining Holy Knights were shocked and furious. One of them roared angrily, "Attack together and destroy him!" In an instant, the four of them, like four vicious wolves, pounced on Nathan all at once.

With a cold huff, Nathan forcefully bent the claymore he had snatched from Cassius's hands.

Bang!

The claymore could not withstand the force of Nathan's hands and snapped, shattering into countless fragments that flew toward the incoming Holy Knights.

In an instant, the Holy Knights were hit by the flying shards in rapid succession. Blood splattered everywhere as they fell to the ground, screaming in agony until their last breaths.

Nathan forcefully killed several Holy Knights, but his strength gave out. With a thud, he, too, collapsed to the ground, falling next to several bodies.

The fresh blood from the corpses slowly trickled onto the ground, gradually pooling together. By chance, it flowed toward the unconscious Nathan. After Nathan fell into unconsciousness, he had a dream in his muddled state.

He dreamt of himself as a wounded tiger, pursued relentlessly by countless hunters.

Despite his severe injuries, he unexpectedly encountered a few vicious wolves.

Without any hesitation, he killed several of the vicious wolves.Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

After killing them, he drained every last drop of blood from those wolves.

Suddenly, a crow's cawing echoed in his ears.

This sent a jolt through his entire body, immediately rousing him from his dream.

After he woke up in shock, he quickly scrambled to his feet.

Firstly, he was taken aback to find himself still in the primeval forest of Mount Eoncrest, still being pursued by the Curia and the Gods.

Beside him lay several corpses, the same Holy Knights he had slain before falling unconscious.

What left him dumbfounded was that the corpses of the Holy Knights of the Curia had now been drained of their blood. What's going on here?

Nathan suddenly remembered the

dream he had while he was in a deep sleep. He had transformed into a tiger, drinking the fresh blood of several wolves!

Could it be that after I passed out, my body instinctively absorbed the blood from these corpses? Nathan's expression changed drastically, and almost couldn't stop himself from vomiting.

Ever since he had obtained a

vampiric constitution, he had been controlling his bodily urges through sheer force of will, resisting the innate desire for fresh bloodo

After he had transformed into a vampire, he had yet to touch a single drop of fresh blood.

Did my body break through that barrier after I fell unconscious this time? Had I been unaware?

Nathan quickly lowered his head to check his own injuries.

He had previously battled with Morgon, both of them grievously injured, teetering on the brink of death.

Nathan dashed into the vast

mountain range, only to be pursued and attacked by the Gods, which further aggravated his injuries. As formidable as he was, there was a moment when he felt he was on the brink of collapse.

Yet now, it seemed like the injuries have somewhat healed.

At the very least, his movements did not seem as strained as before. Nathan had even regained some of his combat capabilities.

Nathan's face was grim. It took him a while to calm down. After regaining his bearings, he decided to keep going.
