The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 9 A Counterattack

Mia, who'd just been hit, looked totally dazed and felt like the world was spinning. Allison glanced down and saw a huge bump forming on Mia's head. But the girls who hit her? They didn't even flinch. One of them sauntered over, smirking, "I heard you're good at fighting, but how about basketball?" Allison's eyes narrowed, anger flashing. "Apologize!"

The ringleader, holding a basketball, sneered at Allison. "What's it to me? She deserved it!"

Before the girl could blink, Allison snatched the basketball and slammed it into her face, blood splattering everywhere.

"Bitch, how dare you hit me! I'll kill you!" The girl, Ava Davis, was infamous at Willowbrook High for bullying.

But this time, she picked the wrong target. Before Ava could react, Allison grabbed her ponytail and yanked her to the ground.

Everyone around froze in shock.

"Apologize!" Allison's voice was ice-cold, making Ava tremble.

Mia, still shaken, whispered, "Allison, it's just a bump, no big deal."

"Apologize!" Allison's tone was even harsher, and Ava felt like her neck might snap.

"Sorry!" Ava's voice was barely a whisper.

"I can't hear you!"

Under Allison's intense glare, Ava shouted, "I'm sorry!"

Seeing Ava cower in fear, Mia couldn't help but admire Allison. This was exactly who she wanted to be! The other students, witnessing the scene, backed away in fear.

Sophia didn't even dare to breathe loudly. Standing up now would be asking for trouble, and with Allison's strength, it wasn't worth it.

So Sophia quietly approached Ava. "Ava, we can't mess with Allison. We should tell the teacher and get our parents involved. That's the only way to get Allison expelled."

Ava nodded, still in shock. After class, she went to Nola and cried, bringing her parents into the situation.

Ava's mom, Arabella Pearl, was livid when she heard Ava had been bullied. "This is outrageous! How can something like this happen at Willowbrook High? This is bullying! Look at how scared Ava is. If she develops a mental illness from this, I won't let it go!"she yelled.

The Davis family had some pull in both political and business circles, so the school didn't want to cross them.

Nola tried to calm her down. "Mrs. Davis, we haven't gotten to the bottom of this yet. It's not fair to make a judgment now. Besides, it's normal for young girls to have arguments. Please don't worry, I'll look into it first."

"Of course, you need to look into it. Ava, tell me, who hit you?" Arabella was fuming, clearly feeling that Nola's attitude was dismissive.

Ava sobbed, "It was that new girl, Allison. Mom, she's terrifying. She broke my nose. I'm disfigured, Mom. You have to get revenge for me!"

Ava's tears were real; she was genuinely scared. How could there be such a terrifying girl in this world?

Ava added, "And I heard that this Allison has a messy personal life and even had an abortion. The school forum is full of pictures of her fighting. Mom, I don't want to go to school anymore. It's too scary!" Nola wasn't pleased with Ava's accusations.

"Ava, you can't slander her without evidence. I will definitely investigate this matter thoroughly!" Nola said firmly.

Hearing this, Arabella was not happy. "Ms. Skye, what do you mean? Are you trying to cover for Allison? No matter what background Allison has, I will pursue this to the end! If you don't handle it, I'll file a lawsuit!" Arabella looked determined, and Nola felt helpless. But when it came to a student's reputation, a teacher couldn't afford to be careless.

When Allison arrived at the office, she could feel the tension in the air.

Nola asked, "Allison, Ava says you hit her and broke her nose. Did you do it?"novelbin

Allison looked at Ava and raised an eyebrow. "Yeah."

"Why did you hit her?"

Allison shot back coldly, "Because she deserved it."

Ava burst into tears, and Arabella lost it. "Look at this! This is the kind of student you're protecting? She says Ava deserved to be hit! She's a menace! Ms. Skye, if you don't deal with her, I'll report you right now!" Arabella threatened, making Nola's face darken.

In truth, Ava had started the fight, and Allison had acted in self-defense. But with Arabella being so unreasonable, it was a tough spot.

"Fine, go ahead. Call the police too. Let them figure out if it was your daughter who started it or me!" Allison retorted.

Allison wasn't one to be easily bullied. She'd faced this kind of crap before, with people spreading rumors about her being a delinquent. Yasmin had pulled these stunts on her countless times.

Arabella lunged to hit Allison, but Nola quickly stepped in to break it up. The office was a mess, and Nola had no choice but to call Principal Callahan.

Magnus hadn't expected that Allison, who'd only been at the school for a few days, could stir up such a storm. He was immediately troubled.

"Mr. Callahan, you need to give me an explanation today. My daughter's nose was broken at school, and Allison is so arrogant about it! If you don't handle this, I'll call the police and make sure everyone knows, which will damage the school's reputation. Don't blame me then!" Arabella made it clear that there had to be a resolution.

Magnus glanced at Allison, knowing her background, and felt even more troubled.

Magnus turned to Nola and asked, "Nola, these are your students. Do you know what happened?"

Nola quickly explained, "Mr. Callahan, I've looked into it. It's just a minor conflict between girls. It doesn't need to be blown out of proportion."

Hearing Nola's words, Arabella got even angrier. "What? My daughter was bullied, and I can't seek justice? Mr. Callahan, I seriously suspect that Nola has taken bribes from Allison. Why else would she defend her so much?"

Nola's eyes reddened with anger, and Magnus thought for a moment before saying, "Call Allison's parents. If it's her fault, I'll let her parents take her home."

At the office door, a group of students watched. Learning that Allison's parents had been called and that she might be expelled, Mia panicked and quickly made a phone call.

"Uncle, help! Someone's bullying me. You have to save me!"

On the other end of the line, Alexander frowned. Was this troublemaker causing problems once more? "Shouldn't you be calling your dad for this? Why are you calling me?" He asked.

"Dad isn't as capable as you! Besides, this is my fault for getting my classmate involved. Please, come save me!" Mia pleaded.

If it weren't for her, Allison wouldn't have clashed with Ava, and things wouldn't have escalated like this. If Allison got expelled because of her, Mia would be devastated.

Alexander hung up the phone and looked at the executives in front of him. "The meeting is adjourned. Fix the issues and we'll continue this afternoon."

Although Mia didn't have the Carter surname, she was the most beloved girl in the Carter Family and the only daughter of Liliana Carter, Alexander's sister. Liliana had nearly lost her life giving birth to her, so Alexander's father, Aiden, doted on her immensely. "We're going to the school," Alexander demanded.

Alexander, along with James, headed straight to the school. Meanwhile, Mia, having hung up the phone, rushed into the office.

She explained, "Mr. Callahan, this has nothing to do with Allison. Ava hit me with a basketball first. If it weren't for Allison, I would have a concussion by now! Allison was acting in self-defense. Ava is the real bully!" Magnus was shocked to see Mia standing up for Allison and looked at her with a complicated expression.

Hearing Mia's words, Arabella immediately retorted, "What nonsense are you talking about? Ava has always been an exemplary student. How could she bully her classmates? I think you and Allison are in cahoots, trying to slander her!"
