Trapped In The Arms Of The Billionaire

Chapter 3

Ethan POV

I am now with my friends Gian, Belle and Melissa because we just finished our class. The truth of the matter is that Luke and I just graduated but I begged Dad that I’m not ready to work because I wanted to study again and take the course I wanted, fortunately he agreed so there was no problem.

I was often late when I came home because I didn’t want to stay long in the mansion. I just missed my mom, maybe if she hadn’t gotten sick she would still be with us until now. For me she is the best mom that I ever had, she was my ally in everything but God took her to us early.

Since Mommy died Daddy has been different, he wants to follow what he tells us unlike when Mommy is still alive. Sometimes it’s suffocating because I feel like we’re robots that have to depend on what Dad orders but I was happy when he agreed for me to study again because I fought it with him. I’m not Luke to be submissive just to look like a perfect child.

Mommy died of an illness, she didn’t tell us about it so we didn’t know that she was sick. If she had not hidden it from us, she would still be alive today. Dad was very depressed when Mom died and he blamed himself for not even being able to treat her even though we were rich.

Luke and I are not as close as the other siblings because we don’t want to be plastic to each other. When Dad told us that he is planning to take his fiance home because they were getting married next month, I agreed but I didn’t know that he had a daughter. And I know that even if Luke agrees that’s not true, I know him and he’s selfish, he just wants all the attention on him and he’s the only one who’s good in the family. I also know what he can do when he sees it will bother him.

I just lost my attention when someone tapped me on the shoulder and I saw Gian with Belle and Melissa. “We’ve been talking here but you’re not listening.” Gian said.

“What is it again?” I asked.

“I said will you still come?”

I was about to answer when my phone suddenly rang and I saw Luke’s name. What else does this idiot need?

“Why did you call?” I asked him, this is how we really talk and I never call him brother even though he is older than me.

“Can you pick Agatha to her school because I still have a meeting.”

“What? And why would I do that? My friends and I will be going somewhere!” I was annoyed.

“I told her earlier that I would pick her up but there was an emergency meeting here at the office and I couldn’t leave immediately.”

“Tsk! Just call her and inform her that you can’t pick her up, that’s simple!. You’re the one who told her about it  so you’re the one to explain it also why you can’t come. Don’t bother me.” I said.

“Ethan! He hasn’t memorized how to go home yet! Get her now if you don’t want me to tell Dad about it.”

“Acting like a perfect brother and a son Luke? It doesn’t suit you. Don’t be plastic.” I said.

“Why? There’s nothing wrong with that because she will be our step sister next month.”

“You can’t fool me! I know you well. The next time you do this, don’t ever disturb me.” I said and dropped the call.

And because I have no other choice but to fetch that woman. Luke is always a really jerk!

I told my friends that I would not be able to be with them first because I had to go somewhere.

I walked to my car and drove to Agatha’s school, in fact I could just let her go home alone because Luke is stupid so I can’t do that I know he will report it to Dad.

When I got to the parking lot and waited for Agatha to come out, I didn’t have her number so I couldn’t call her, maybe she knew my car.

Later I saw her walking and she looked at my car, maybe she recognized it. I went out so that she could see me. She’s really too slow.

“Ethan, why are you here?” she asked me in shock when she got closer.

“Isn’t it obvious? Aren’t you blind? I’m here to pick you up because Luke can’t make it!” I said irritated.

“I’m just asking! I thought you have another purpose here and one more thing as far as I  remember Luke will pick me here and not you.” she said.

“Just shut up! You talk so much. Will you get in the car with me or will I leave you?” I said annoyed and got in the car, if she doesn’t want to get in I’ll really leave her.

When she got on and I immediately drove so we could go home immediately. I was disgusted by the presence of this woman. While we were on the street I wondered why someone seemed to be following us. There aren’t many houses on our way because I took a different route and there was no traffic.

“Damn it!” I exclaimed when I heard my car being shot at.

“What is happening?” Agatha asked me, she seemed to have heard too.

“I don’t know but there are those following us.” I said.

“W-what? W-why? I don’t want to die Ethan!” she shouted in shock.

“Can you keep quiet because I’m thinking of a way because if you don’t stop there we’re really going to die.” I growl at her.

I drove even faster while thinking about what we could do.

“We don’t have any choice, Agatha, we need to get out of here.” I said seriously.

“W-what do you mean brother?”

“Do you trust me?” I asked her.

“As if I have a choice not to trust you in this situation.”

I took the gun hidden here in my car and looked at the one following us, it was just one car. If you ask me why I have this in my car, it’s because of my safety.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

“Do you know how to drive?” I asked her.

“Just a bit.” she replied nervously.

“Let’s change seats. You’ll drive, I’ll take care of those who follow us.” I command her.

Her eyes widened. “Are you serious?”

“You think I’m joking in this situation? You don’t want to die right?” I asked.

She turned around and we quickly changed seats. I opened the window and fired at the car following us, making sure to hit the car’s tire so that it could not follow us and I did not fail.

The car that followed us stopped because it was flat.

“Are you okay?” I asked her.

“Y-yes.” she replied.

I told her to stop the car so we could change seats again because I knew she was shaking with fear.

“Don’t be afraid of that because we’re safe.” I assure her.

“Thank you brother Ethan.” She made a weak promise.

I don’t know who the people who followed us were but I had a suspicion and I just didn’t want to tell Agatha so as not to add to her worries. I also told her not to mention what happened when we got home.
