What Separates Me and You
Chapter 18 An Agreement Has Been Made
At the cafe.
Avery had arranged for the meeting to be held at her own cafe. Josephine sat by the window and looked at the wound on Avery’s forehead, feeling somewhat uneasy.
Lewis forbade her to meet with Avery. If he found out, he would definitely be angry.
Avery thought that she was nervous and patted her shoulder to comfort her with at smile, saying, “Don’t be nervous. I’ll help you speak later.”
Looking at the smile on her face, Josephine also forced out a smile.
Over the years, she had been too lonely.
Apart from Lewis, she had no one else, not even a friend. Everyone despised her.
What Avery did two days ago was like Lewis‘ sudden intrusion into her life years ago. It was like a beam of light shining in her barren world.
After waiting for about ten minutes, a figure hurriedly came in from outside. He shook the umbrella in his hand and walked quickly toward them.
Avery stood up and greeted him, “Mr. Colson.”
Mr. Colson was a short and thin man in his 40s. He wore black–framed glasses and had a friendly face.
“You must be Miss Green. Whenever this season comes around, it’s always rainy in Elysium. It causes so much inconvenience”
It was sunny in the morning, but it started to drizzle at noon. The city was shrouded in fog.
Avery extended her hand to Mr. Colson and said, “Thank you so much for coming. here, and I apologize for making you come alone. Josephine, this is the manager of Playtime that I told you about.”
Josephine quickly stood up and nodded at him.
A hint of amazement flashed in his eyes as he looked at Josephine. Mr. Colson waved his hand with a smile and said, “Let’s sit down and talk.
“Mr. Colson, I was right, wasn’t I? She looks just like how I painted her, right?”
The man smiled and responded, “Not only does she look like your painting, but she’s even more beautiful than depicted. Miss Vance is my ideal candidate.”
Avery had previously told him that Josephine couldn’t speak, but he didn’t mind.
“I have something else to attend to later, so let’s keep it short. I’ll briefly explain this. advertisement to you. Actually, it’s not really an advertisement. It’s just a New Year’s promotional video. We’ve always used animation before, but the planning
department saw Miss Vance’s photo a few days ago and suggested using a real person to shoot it.” This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
Playtime was a large game company that owned two popular games domestically and internationally. However, the two games were not managed by the same person, so there was some competition between them.
This event was also a competition between the two games, and Mr. Colson had come up with the idea to use a real person to shoot the promotional video.
One of the characters in their game gained a lot of popularity among the players and had many fans, so they naturally had to be really careful when selecting an actress.
for this role.
Josephine’s image was very fitting.
After listening to the manager’s explanation, Avery cast a glance at the woman beside her and asked, “We have no problem with what you’ve said, Mr. Colson. But.
what about the remuneration?”
The man smiled and answered, “Don’t worry about that. We’ve hired celebrities for endorsements before. Although Miss Vance might not have as much fame, we’re inviting her to work with us with great sincerity. How does this amount sound to you,
Miss Vance?”
He held up his palm, but it was unclear whether he meant 50 or 500 thousand dollars.
Josephine didn’t understand and could only look to Avery for help.
“Mr. Colson, you’re indeed sincere. 500 thousand dollars is a fair price. Then, we won’t beat about the bush. When can we sign the contract?” Avery said with a smile.
With a laugh, Mr. Colson responded, “Excellent! Miss Green, you are indeed straightforward. How about this? I’ll leave for a meeting first, and I’ll notify both of when the contract is ready. You can come straight to our company at that time.”
“Alright then.” Avery stood up and shook hands with Mr. Colson to seal the deal.

Josephine stood up as well and said goodbye to Mr. Colson.
As soon as the manager left, Josephine’s phone vibrated twice. She checked and noticed that it was a message from Lewis.
