Chapter 0881

With that, Kenny pulled out a document resembling a contract and slapped it onto the

table in front of Ollie.

“This has dragged on long enough. Mr. Clifford, it’s time for you to make up your mind. I don’t want to waste my breath. Here, I even brought a pen for you. You just need to sign your name, and the money will be transferred immediately,” he said.

Ollie’s expression stiffened. “Kenny, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I won’t sign this contract. The hill belongs to my family, and we’ve planted cherry trees there. I will never sell the land.”

“Mr. Clifford, the only reason I’m still treating you with respect is because we’re from the same village and the friendship between our families. Let’s not make this ugly. After all, we’re still neighbors and will have to live side by side in the future!”

Shawn slammed his bat down on the table with a bang. “Kenny, why are you wasting your breath on a cripple? If we don’t teach him a lesson today, he will never learn from his mistakes!”

“Shawn, shut up! Who taught you to be so rude? No matter what, Mr. Clifford is older than us. Show some respect.”

“Respect my ass! He’s like a stubborn rock, unable to listen to reason. A good beating will fix him up!”

“Don’t rush. We still have to give him a chance. Kenny gestured for his brother to calm down. Then, he turned to Joli with a sly smile. “Since Mr. Clifford won’t sign, his son can sign in his place. Shawn…”

Catching his cue, Shawn stepped forward and grabbed Joli by the collar. He shoved the pen into his hand forcibly. “You’re an educated man from a prestigious college. Don’t make me resort to violence. If you’re smart, sign it now! Once you do, I’m happy, and everyone will be happy.”

Furrowing his brow, Sebastian swatted Shawn’s hand away and pulled Joli backward. “You can just talk instead of putting your hands on him, right?”

Shawn’s dark gaze landed on Sebastian. “Who the hell are you? You ruined things yesterday, and now you’re doing it again. How many lives do you think you’ve got to waste?

Sebastian sneered, “Oh, are you planning to take my life?”

“Ha! There’s nothing in this world that I wouldn’t dare to do!”

“Well, I refuse to believe that.”

“You’re asking for trouble!”

Just as Shawn swung his bat at him, Sebastian was prepared and dodged with ease. His movements were swift and agile.

“Oh, you’ve had training?” Shawn raised an eyebrow, excitement flashing in his eyes.

“That’s none of your business.”

Shawn narrowed his eyes and lunged at Sebastian with his bat. Sebastian seized the opportunity and ran outside.

“Damn you, kid! Stop right there!”

And so they chased each other. One running and the other pursuing.

Kenny missed the chance to stop Shawn.

His brother was a total idiot! They were here to force Ollie the Cripple to sign the contract, not to pick a fight! This punk from Jandersville was clearly doing it on purpose.

Kenny frowned when the thought crossed his mind. What was their goal? Was it to buy time? Or to divert their attention?

Wait a minute…

There were two other women with them yesterday. Where were they now? He suddenly realized something was amiss.

Kenny got up and headed straight for the bedrooms. He kicked open the nearest one and found Wanda, Joli’s bedridden mother, inside.

“Disgusting,” he cursed under his breath. Then he moved to the next room. He found no one after scanning the room quickly. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Just as Kenny prepared to kick open the door of the last bedroom, Ollie rushed forward and spread his arms to block the way. “Kenny, don’t go too far!”

“Heh, those two women must be in this room, right? Get out of my way! I want to see what tricks you have up your sleeve!”

Ollie gritted his teeth. “This is my house. You have no right to cause trouble here-

“Me being polite really got to your head, huh? Who do you think you are? I’ll say it one more time, get out of my way!”

“Over my dead body—‘
