When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 252

Orion hung up the phone and immediately texted his secretary, "Clear the hotel!"

He didn't want anyone to catch a glimpse of Lemira when they stepped out. He was determined to protect her!

After hanging up, Orion returned to the room to find Lemira almost done with her meal.

She glanced up at Orion with a flicker in her eyes. What should she say at a moment like this?

Orion checked the time, "Got any classes today?"

Lemira thought for a moment, "In the afternoon."

"If you're feeling off, you could skip."

"No need to skip, I'm pretty much okay now. Classes aren't exhausting, just sitting in a lecture hall."

Lemira mainly felt awkward, unsure how to face him or what to do about their current situation!

Noticing Lemira's discomfort, Orion spoke with a hint of amusement, "That scared of hanging out with me, huh?" Lemira's breath hitched, "Who said that, I-I just don't want to skip classes."

"College isn't complete without skipping a class or two."

Seeing her strained effort to keep up appearances, Orion finally dropped the teasing, "I'll drive you to campus."

Lemira watched his retreating back and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

After quickly freshening up, she followed Orion out of the hotel. But glancing around, she noticed the hotel seemed upscale yet to have no people around. Orion caught her gaze, "What is it?"

"Is this hotel not doing well? It looks so fancy, but I haven't seen a single guest."

A flicker of surprise passed through Orion's eyes, "Maybe, it's just a quiet time."

Together, they made their way to the underground parking lot. Orion took the wheel himself, with Lemira in the passenger seat.

However, she somehow struggled with her seat belt. Orion leaned over to adjust it for her.

Lemira looked up to find Orion so close, their proximity startling.

With this scene unfold, images flashed across her mind, making her wonder if something similar had happened before. She felt it was eerily familiar!

Orion caught Limera's gaze, his heartbeat uncontrollably quickening. He averted his gaze, quickly secured her seat belt, and straightened up.

As the car started, Lemira sneakily glanced at him. The moment of him fixing her seat belt still felt oddly familiar. Had she dreamed it? The drive was mostly silent.

When they stopped outside campus, Lemira hesitated, "When are you heading back to Lyria?"

"I'll be here for a few days."

"Alright, then I'll head to class. Let's grab dinner before you leave, as a thank you for rescuing me!"

Lemira looked at him, hoping he wouldn't decline or make up excuses.

Orion found it hard to meet her gaze. He replied blandly, "Sure, if you run into any trouble at school, let me know."

Susanna would likely stir up trouble for Lemira at school again.

"I can handle school stuff on my own, see you in a few days."

Lemira opened the car door and walked toward campus. Orion watched her go, frustratedly adjusting his collar as he talked to himself, "Lemira, what am I going to do with you?"

Lemira went straight to her classroom to get ready for her

Lemira sat down in the front row, alone. Soon, her phone buzzed with a message from Janice. [You didn't come back last night, and now there's a nasty rumor about you. Be careful!]

Attached was a photo of her getting out of Orion's car.
