Chapter 1023
Mia had been around for quite a while now. "Let's head back the day after tomorrow. It's almost New Year back home, and we haven't prepared anything yet." They settled their plans and booked their flights.
Andre turned to his wife and asked, "Mia, is there anything left on your bucket list?"
Without skipping a beat, Mia said, "I've always wanted to see a sunrise and sunset by the beach."
So, on a sunny afternoon, they set off to chase the sunset.
The setting sun painted the sky with hues of red, its dazzling light setting the sea aglow like a cluster of flames. The red spread like sheer fabric, stretching miles across the sky.
As more people gathered on the beach, Mia handed her phone to Molly. "Could you snap a photo of the three of us?"
Andre held their sweet little boy in front, while Mia stood beside them, holding her son's tiny hand. She pointed to the sunset, her eyes bright and full of warmth as she looked at her husband and son, sharing the little moments of the day. Her gaze was gentle, her whole demeanor soft and radiant.
It's in these unplanned moments that beauty truly shines. Henry pointed excitedly at an egret flying over the sea, his little lips pouting as he tried to get his parents to look.
Mia and Andre then set Henry down, each holding him under the arms, lifting him off the ground like a plane taking off. They ran with him, and Henry kicked joyfully in the air, his laughter echoing, almost catching his breath from the giggles.
Their family's warmth was a picture-perfect scene against the backdrop of the setting sun on the beach.
The sunset was stunning, but the people enjoying it were even more so.
After Molly and Anya finished taking photos of the family, Mia quickly said, "Your turn, Molly."
Molly grabbed Chad's hand, and they both kicked off their shoes to walk hand in hand by the shore for some silhouette shots. And just like that, "sly and jmm's daily life" got a new profile picture.
Holding his son, Andre, with his typical straightforward nature, managed to say, "Weren't they here to watch the sunset? It's setting, but are they here to watch it or just take photos?"
Andre chuckled, "Probably a bit of both."
Once Molly and Chad were done, Anya pulled Leo along, "Come on, Chad."
"Alright, I'm on my way."
They watched as the sun dipped below the horizon, its last glow still painting the sky orange. The light on Mia's face slowly faded with the sunset, giving way to the moon's gentle glow.novelbin
Standing beside Andre, she smiled, "I once made a wish by the sea. If I ever found someone I loved, I'd want to watch a sunrise and sunset with them. On a quiet morning and during the twilight on the beach; feeling the gentle sea breeze, the soft sand, and the cool sea water. Listening to the waves, watching the tide come in and go out. That's my little idea of romance."
Andre turned to see Mia lost in thought.
Even as darkness fell, her eyes were fixed on the horizon.
Henry, puzzled, looked at his dreamy mom and leaned over from his dad's arms to hug her neck.
"Then let's catch another sunrise by the beach," Andre suggested.
Mia, holding her son, turned and grinned, "I'm not a morning person-" she admitted playfully.

On the way, Andre made a quick call, and soon they were headed to another bay. When they arrived, a group of Andre's team had just finished setting up by the beach. Stepping out of the car, Mia was taken aback by the tent by the shore, "Honey, this is..."
Andre smiled, "You wanted to see the sunrise feel the soft sand, experience the sea water, and also wanted to be able to see it all as soon as you wake up. We couldn't build you a beach house in time, but this isn't too shabby, right?
