Chapter 1024
Mia gazed at the tent with pure delight, "Honey, I've never camped in a tent before. I'm going to have a blast!"
Not long after, Molly chimed in with excitement, "Mia, look at this! There's a barbecue grill, seafood, and fresh meat. Remember when you casually mentioned how amazing it would be to have this by the seaside? Well, Andre made it happen!" Anya was busy unpacking boxes, "Auntie, there are even fireworks in here!"
Everything Mia could dream of was there: delicious food, fun activities, cozy accommodations, and stunning views, all without a hitch.
Molly added, "No need for more words, Mia. You should forgive Andre. Honestly, with a husband like him, even if you searched the galaxy, you wouldn't find another perfect Andre."
For a moment, Andre appreciated having a sister.
Anya, clutching a toy, nodded, "Auntie, I know Uncle loves you. He wouldn't have gone to all this trouble-making sure you have fun, see what you want, eat what you crave if he didn't. We all see you as his number one treasure." Mia sighed, "So, you're all siding with him now?"
Molly gestured at the barbecue grill, "Mia, you know our friendship isn't exactly built for tough tests."
Anya added, "I've always shipped you and Uncle, Auntie and Uncle, the ideal couple, and I'm a true fan of the little one."
Mia was left speechless.
As soon as the lights were turned on, the place came alive.
Grilling and playing were in full swing.
Henry was on the beach, with his older cousin playfully burying his tiny feet in the sand. At first, Henry was curious and amused by it all, but when he tried to walk, he realized his feet were stuck, and he started to wail, "Daddy!" Andre came over, and Leo quickly dashed away.
After freeing his son, Andre watched as several women set off fireworks, and little Henry, in his mom's arms, got to hold one too.
Chad, who usually wasn't much of a cook, was suddenly the star chef of the evening.
They were grilling, munching, and playing all at once.
The group took turns entertaining Henry, even making him cry at times, which Andre couldn't resolve this time, since it was his mom doing the teasing.
"Honestly, I almost became Henry's godfather," Leo remarked while fanning away the grill smoke.
Anya, intrigued, sat next to him, offering a piece of grilled meat. "When was that?"
"Back in high school. They wanted me to be their kid's godfather. Once I found out Mia was marrying my uncle, knew that idea was toast. And then, not long after, Jade's plan fizzled out too." en
One became his aunt, and the other was awkwardly related by blood.novelbin
Leo had grown used to the irony of his life.
Mia crouched by the fire, munching on grilled scallops, and suddenly asked, "Leo, your kid will end up calling me... Grandma, right?"
Leo was left speechless.
Jade, busy grilling skewers, burst with excitement, "So, I'd be a great-aunt, huh?"
The two women laughed uproariously on the beach, their joy echoing around them, leaving Leo so annoyed he dropped the fan, "I'm done fanning."
Andre and Chad shared a knowing
smile, the firelight dancing on their faces. Andre watched his tall
nephew with both pride and satisfaction. He glanced down at his little son Henry, not yet as tall as his legs, whose eyes were fixed solely on the food.
